TUNG
TUNG – The Ultimate Nut Guarantee is a book that is difficult to define. Maybe define is not the right word, but tie down certainly. At once an account of sexual exploits, a philosophical treatise on the nature of men and women and a training program for the (male) sexual athlete. It is the last of these things that TUNG is billed as – a book that teaches how to reach our sexual peak pleasure. You can get it here: http://stores.lulu.com/tung
The material in TUNG presents the advice and story of a man who can be described as both a ’self trained’ sexual athlete and a ’school of life’ philosopher. TUNG is not particularly a book for the seduction community alumni, some of the writing goes against the grain of the seduction student. It is a book on sexual practices, and on the sexual dynamics we engage in and there are rewards for its readers.
The author, who remains unidentified under the name Anonymous X, begins with a brief preface on how TUNG came to be and a disclaimer regarding its practice, for this is a physically demanding program. Getting into the main content of the book I was impressed by the writing. The interludes of true accounts alongside the author’s philosophy and technique works well. The book builds nicely. Beginning with exercise, the book sets out its stall – After the introduction to the TUNG philosophy, there is a short but crucial chapter on ‘Getting in TUNG shape’. It wouldn’t be much of a review if I hadn’t done the exercise, which is an intense but not gruelling routine and when you apply the newly toned and trained physique to the techniques that come later, you’ll be glad of the training and most certainly will benefit the sex you are having.
The book continues with a chapter called ‘Creating tension’. This is the story of why to do TUNG, why sex applied the TUNG way is so paramount. The message is raw here, but welcome – it is a whole body process, it is pleasure driven and as a warrior you should strive for ultimate satisfaction. This means working for it, as Anonymous point out “you must endure this strenuous physical regimen because there are a core group of muscles that must be developed to produce the high octane nuts you are seeking.” Moving onto the chapter on ‘Staying Safe’, there is some very sensible advice in this chapter, we’d do well to heed. STDs; paternity; her friends; boyfriends/husbands and other issues are covered, and we are given much advice on what to do to ’stay safe’.
The later chapters of the book cover sexual positions. The standard ‘lover’s guide’ positions are covered: missionary; doggy; cowgirl; standing; but with the TUNG take on getting ultimate satisfaction from the ’standard moves’. Then moving onto a chapter on the bizarre. Opening with the qualifier that in today’s wonderful world of sexual excess, “what is kinky or bizarre?”. It is true that you don’t need the 150th Kama sutra position to get you and your partner off. And I salute the TUNG method for bringing us back to earth by upping the ante in sexual satisfaction from good fucking sex. And you are left in no doubt, if there was any up to this point, that the TUNG system is athletically challenging.
Now, returning to the start of the book to cover some ground. The book opens, even before we begin our training regime, with Mr Anonymous X’s perspectives on sex and dating in the modern world. He berates the standard misogyny out there and yet still conforms to broad stereotypes. In a single paragraph the author can hit the nail on the head and appeal to the sense of missing masculinity in sex and sexual dynamics between men and women. He can explain the demeanor of the “pussy whipped boyfriend” and and the ‘he’s so nice’ guy. And call it an affront, an abomination! And, by and large, he’s right. Yet in the very same discussion the stereotypes he mentions are too black and white to be entirely true, the pop psychology of the analysis too blunt to be accurate. But primarily TUNG is a book for men on sex that unashamedly brandishes the message “We are not lovers. WE FUCK!” and in this regard is a breath of fresh air. “Sex is to TUNG as a AAA battery is to a Tesla coil. We strive for intensity and duration. We take pride in our work and we fuck for the sheer pleasure of it” Anonymous X
Remembering, now, that this is a review for guys who are learning and practicing seduction. I can level with an audience that has altogether more understanding in areas of social dynamics, sex and seduction. So, for us only… In the seduction community we will often critique the insights of the uninitiated – those poor guys who approach the dating game with nothing other than the tools of reciprocity (“what do you mean you won’t sleep with me, I bought dinner”). While this book is only about what to do when you get a woman into bed, not how to get her there, the social philosophy surrounding it is grounded in an awareness of the real world that us who study seduction are only too aware of. But it is not the world that we inhabit, it is the world that everyone else does. If you have been through education in seduction then you’ll have the flexibility to come and go with the philosophy of this book, while strongly adding to your sexual self (and technique to your repertoire).
As I said in the opening paragraph, TUNG is about us men achieving our sexual gratification. Her pleasure is of less concern, and in this regard it is a tonic to every other piece of literature on the subject that teaches ‘please her’ = better sex. But, not too far into TUNG we converge with the classic approach – Practicing TUNG = giving yourself pleasure = giving her pleasure. So we are not at odds with the classic teachings of social dynamics and seduction. Reminds me of the underlying interpretations of the ‘nice guy’ and how they are essentially selfish behaviors. By freeing ourselves to demand sexual satisfaction both men and women benefit. If you have ever had a lover take wonderful pleasure in your own satisfaction and sexual climax, just as you do in hers, and you encourage her to explore her own, then the TUNG method is your personal training guide, only reversed (it’s far more about you).
In Practice
Well, I used all the techniques when working on TUNG. I struggled with some, I really enjoyed some. I varied yet others and have brought some into a repertoire that is wholly enhanced by the practices of this book. For example the doggy/massage hybrid is a funky style much loved by me and my girlfriend. There is an honest and raw sexual urgency to the teachings in this book, and that is what will remain with me. It is lacking in many of the books you can buy on sex, a book like this could create some pretty dirty bastards though, no bad thing. Reading it, I was intrigued, appalled, stimulated, incited to action, and certainly entertained.
The athletic aspect of the TUNG method is paramount, it is a whole body sexual experience that is described in the book. It should not be underestimated. It is almost a holistic approach to sex, and being in good shape is necessary. I tried and trained for the benefit of the method, and I had better sex. Simple as that… my girl had better sex too! Straight up testimony to its efficacy.
Summary
It is intended that the reader of this book not only develop the sexual skills, but captures the masculinity that corresponds with a fucking hot sex life. The TUNG philosophy is one thing, the author’s perspective is another. And I think you can quite easily separate the two*. Anonymous X either gets it in a way I have yet to experience, or sees it in a way I can’t (or wont). Or, modesty aside, it could be that I see things clearer than the author’s philosophy and I am beyond some perspectives expressed in these pages. Either way, I liked TUNG – even though there is an obvious veering off in mine and the author’s stance. I learned from TUNG and ultimately it is a good developmental tool. I think that comes across despite some reservations.
Something I haven’t mentioned up until now is the perspectives of misogyny discussed in the book. The author categorizes modern misogyny in the opening paragraph. Some critics might say that this book itself is a misogynistic text resorting to simple archetypes. I wouldn’t agree with that, but the reason I mention this theme here, is I did debate for a while which category Anonymous X (the author) is in. I am sure now that he is in his own category, he has experience, knowledge and insight and it is obvious he loves women.
TUNG can be purchased at http://stores.lulu.com/tung
*To the lay reader it may seem that the strong masculine identity described in the author’s philosophy are fused with the practices of the book. Not true, in my experience this philosophy is only one way, and is easily flexible.
Real World Seduction
Real World Seduction is a book by Swinggcat. It is available from www.realworldseduction.com and is priced at $39.95. This was a product that we looked at and used, but never reviewed originally, so we are remedying that now. I first saw the Swinggcat book circa December 2004, it was released earlier that year.
At the heart of the Swinggcat philosophy is the concept called Prizing. A self-frame and social perspective, its inception creates a social model of behavior that the Real World Seduction method works itself around. The prizing idea defined in Swinggcat’s own words: “Prizing is getting a woman so emotionally charged, she is compelled to game, court, chase and pursue you”.
The first point about this is that it is a strong perspective to game. More than is made out from Swinggcat’s statement of the prizing purpose is its strong inner game frame, that (to a greater or lesser extent) is a powerful part of seduction.
The manual is split into 5 parts. The first three are the ones that deal directly with the prizing concepts. the last two are related to the use of prizing in the real world.
Briefly, section 1 is Becoming The Prize: The part on that thing of being the prize. What it is, what you are when you are it and how to achieve it. Section 2 is on Prizability: On the descriptive, the adjective if you will, of what it means to be the prize. The third part, titled Prizing: The active doing part of how to prize. Section 4 is called Chick Tests & Chick Frames: It deals with seeing the real world seduction process in another perspective. Finally, section 5 Putting It All Together: An anecdotal tale showing the techniques in practice.
A Quick Breakdown. Part 1 contains the development of prizing; characteristics and useful ideas on frames and meanings, which becomes important in the adopting of prizing frames. Part 2 introduces concepts on style; opening; a bit on cold reading and storytelling. The stories are nice pieces of material and, whereas some story theory for seduction purposes goes further than Swinggcat, the examples are good. On the whole likable and with good foundation principles, note also that some of Swinggcat’s original stories are now standard seduction techniques.
An aside: many of the chapters in this book finish with a homework assignment. It is an interesting approach not only to tell the reader what they need to know about this approach to seduction, but also how to learn it. Many readers may find this helpful in areas. Some readers may find it particularly asinine.
Part 3. The doing part is where we come across some of the techniques that Swinggcat is known for. Special mention to the chapters on open loops to build intrigue and especially the Push-Pull technique, explained well and in an applicable manner. Part 4 is a strong reframing section, its non PC perspective is to be applauded as the idea of tests reflects the reality. The idea of frames and tests (to be expected) further enforces the Prize frame. Further, this section presents specific situational techniques for reframing and outframing.
Part 5 of this manual is titled Putting It All Together. It is a story from the author’s experience that is designed to illustrate the use of the previously discussed techniques and perspectives in-field. It has it’s strengths and weaknesses, one being that it is only one example. The idea of using a story to illustrate the points is a good one, building an understanding of the real world application. As a teaching tool it falls short of its potential. Making clear what is the normal possibilities for this approach, but not really breaking it down with reference to what you have just read.
Summary.
The adoption of a single strong frame (the prizing frame) perspective to understanding seduction yields some strong benefits. In terms of recognizing the viewpoint of prizing as the model for seduction, the reader is lefts with a complete understanding. Other systems that have a further reaching approach to seduction, with explanation in terms of many areas, often do not leave the reader with such a complete understanding. The linear approach of the Swinggcat method incorporates a lot of what is at the heart of seduction by reference to prizing itself as a powerful frame.
No book claims that it teaches everything that a seduction manual can, and neither is that the case here. However, this point is raised because the perspective of prizing does limit what is on offer to relate to one frame. Other books can combine frames and ideas (some do so successfully). Many books don’t achieve any more in terms of seduction by having more dimensions but the ideas are not limited. Real World Seduction is very good in this area of a single viewpoint to seduction.
The book is well structured to build knowledge of this material. To the beginning student of seduction it is all about real-world application of inner game understanding. To the moderately experienced student it is about a strong independent frame to embody an aspect of all real relationships. Thus the building of character surrounding the prizing principle provides a strong frame that is true of seduction.
Real World Seduction is a solid text with a strong conceptual framework that fits an accurate model of the seduction frame as any of the main methods out there. If a prospective student of seduction were to choose this as their introductory text, I would suggest reading around the subject. But, at any level, this book has a useful perspective and learnable skills that enhances seduction application.

The Shocker
Brad P. one of the new wave of PUAs is the innovator of The Shocker, both as a method and as a book. The book The Shocker explains the method. This book is about opening, specifically the technique and concept on opening Brad P. has termed The Shocker.
A brief note about this review. The Shocker is the first of 2 New products reviewed here (the second I’ll put up in the next few weeks). Since Seduction Review moved, time has been spent so-far, re-reviewing older courses and texts – and it has been fun to revisit techniques and styles, some of them have remained part of everyday game, almost all withheld the test of time (there isn’t really a timescale with seduction technology, but there is advancement) and some had been almost forgotten. And as far as uploading the older reviews, that is still very much in progress. However we still keep moving and The Shocker is here for that reason – it is new technology.
The Shocker by Brad P. can be downloaded from www.datinggurubrad.com for $39.00.
What is The Shocker? It is a type of opener – a concise technique for achieving the objectives that an opener should. The Shocker is described using examples and explained in terms of its component parts. But first it is put into context with an explanation of the purpose of openers. In a description of the objectives of an opening line, the first thing to note is that Brad P. adds one important category to the traditional wisdom of seduction opening. The five objectives of an opener he proposes are a fairly straightforward bunch, but with the exception of “establish high social value”, which was previously not within the territory of the opener.
Opening (direct or indirect) has mostly been seen as juggling a hot potato in the seduction community, you fling it out and move on. Within the confines of the opener, there isn’t much room to initiate any seduction material or express any personality conveying characteristics. The Shocker is a different approach. Within its delivery, the Shocker’s structure builds social value by coming from and creating in the interaction a “cool kid” frame.
So what of the practical application of The Shocker. It has a strong pedigree to become a standard opening technique in the seduction toolkit, it is a good innovation on the opening principles that ranks well with other innovations in seduction technology. At its core is the extra level of social value built naturally into its delivery. It is, above all else, effective.
In a seduction world saturated with discussions of opening – is a book on one technique of opening at all necessary? If this book were about one technique in only one aspect of game it would vastly exaggerate it’s own importance. Instead, by including the new technique in the context of other openers The Shocker provides a more complete perspective on this part of game.
The other openers covered include the standard Situational and Opinion openers. Along with the author’s take on what he terms High Value and Low Value openers, as well as using Cold Reads on opening. The use of these other openers is explained well with some good examples of each. Categorizing technique by their style and objective, as this book does, allows for the critique of each one’s merits. However, the scale by which openers are judged is often an arbitrary one, useful only to separate one type of opener from another. The real merits of the book lie in the explanation and examples of different styles of opening, not least the Shocker.
The context that is missing is the style and method of game that follows on from this opener, as Brad P. sees it. This would provide a further context in which to place the opener. For instance, from the perspective of the book, the cold read is seen only as an opening technique, as obvious as this might seem in a book on opening, it has the effect of misrepresenting the technique. The context of the sarge surrounding the opening moments is useful, even if just to discern how it can fit your own game.
Summary.
The Shocker is a good opener, it works. This book is a good book, it explains well the Shocker opener and others. if new to the game and looking at ideas on techniques of opening, you have to consider that there is usually a good amount given on opening from the other systems in other seduction eBooks. Some perspectives and their reasons that aren’t part of this book’s agenda. On the other hand you get a concise breakdown of opening technique in this book along with the means to create your own opener based on each principle, and at the heart of that is an innovative new opener.
You should know that The Shocker is only 45 pages long. In comparison with other seduction eBooks it is the shortest. At almost a dollar a page, is it worth it? It is one of the books that is full of useful information, not one of its 45 pages is wasted. The core principles by which the openers are judged is arbitrary, but does provide useful perspective. The concise nature of this book is one of its key strengths.
The fact remains that it is a simple concept, executed in a straightforward and easy manner. For this one area of your game you would pay the same amount that you would pay for a whole system or method in another book. And what is lacking is the perspective of the Shocker’s inclusion in overall game. The price isn’t the issue, but the content – there is always room to expand on any ideas in seduction, and do it intelligently. There is more than enough room for Brad P. to expand his ideas in this book.
Opening is a crucial (if often over emphasized) area of seduction, and technique has been around forever on this one subject. It is no mean feat to develop new method in this area, and the Shocker is that. The book teaches the technique of the Shocker well and provides a good reference to other openers in seduction.

Double Your Dating
Double Your Dating is a book that spawned a host of products from it’s creator David DeAngelo. David DeAngelo is a founding member of the modern seduction movement. With the release of this book in 2001 he moved into position as a creator of seduction ideologies. Double Your Dating is available from www.doubleyourdating.com, it costs $19.97.
The review below was originally written in early 2004 from a copy of the book bought in October 2003. That review has been updated, like all reviews, and posted now (August 2006).
This book sets out to redress the balance on everyday knowledge that doesn’t favor the modern man, at least when it comes to women. The book attempts to fill in the background on the understandings needed for dating success. And to provide some insight on behavior that fits the reality of what is attractive.
Double Your Dating is split into three parts, titled: ‘How to Think About Women‘; ‘How To Communicate With Women‘ and ‘Exactly What, When And How‘.
The first section, as its title suggests, is an exercise in re-framing. Through short sections on, for example “Where our desires come from”, “It’s OK to be a man” and “Internal states”, David DeAngelo reviews the perspectives that often curtail a man’s success with women. In proceeding texts on seduction the theories behind the skills take the context of explaining the adapted methods of seduction. Here though (and I give it credit as a pioneering text) the discussion of ideas fall into the education only category and any behaviors later in the book, as helpful advice.
The questions a book answers are dependant on the questions you need answers to. In learning seduction a man will have his own particular epiphanies (e.g. the “you mean women like sex too” moment). You can never be sure how much of what is obvious to you is in fact an obvious thing. And, of course, not everything is true in the impartial objective sense either. But what is true, is that if it means something to you then it makes a difference. After that brief aside I come back to my point, this book offers some obvious answers, but to points you may not have considered.
The second section of this manual deals, not surprisingly, with communicating. It is here that we find information about “How men usually find women” and “Personality traits that attract women”. And in the last pages of this section this book tackles techniques including “How to be funny”.
It is in the third section that we get the “how to’s”. “Where to Meet Women”; “How to Meet Women”; “Getting Phone Numbers and Email Addresses”. This is the basic stuff, that is not to say some of it isn’t useful, some of it is good. But it would be amiss of me not to point out that all of this has been covered more completely elsewhere.
The book comes with three (free!) supplements. I have said that when this book provides technique, it is presented as dating style advice. Partly this is to blame on the lack of a strong perspective and structured objective available. There is no coherent structure to the dating advice, more a list of things you should know. The free booklets are on ‘Critical Moments and Bridges’; ‘The Lover and Provider Personalities’ and ‘Sex Secrets’. The personality piece is arbitrary advice that could just as well be true as it could be untrue. The piece on sexual technique is much like the rest of the book, good advice, some of which may be useful to you. The piece on bridges offers the advice of a systematic approach but the rest of the book doesn’t provide a system around the bridges.
A question. Is the Dating of the title applicable to the student of seduction? The modern seduction method mainly exist outside the frame of dating, so is the Double Your Dating eBook more applicable to the ordinary fellow who just wants to have more dating success? It leans on ideas and behaviors that certainly fits a model of how to interact and appear attractive, with some advice on things like getting phone numbers. There is not a lot of depth to this and thus not a lot of seduction.
Summary. A book that gives a lot of introductory information to the ideas of seduction in dating. The ideas expressed in Double Your Dating cover all the main points that a seduction text should cover. It used to be one of the main introductions to seduction. I say used to as this book doesn’t have the complete feel of more recent titles. Many of the bases covered in this book are covered from a multitude of perspectives elsewhere, and with systematic approaches that make their application more complete and easy to follow. Competing texts have the benefit of ideology built not only around individual technique but around whole method.
The Double Your Dating eBook costs only $19.97. Providing you bought the book alone (subscription to David DeAngelo’s interview series that you can later op-out of seems to come as standard with this book) it seems good value at this price – given that it is roughly half the price of its competitors. This book can be one of the great bridges into the world of seduction, unlike many of the other books out there it doesn’t wholeheartedly abandon the dating frame. David DeAngelo’s position is not to diminish this world view for what it is but to expand it. So as an introduction that is mainstream friendly, David DeAngelo’s book is it.

The Venusian Arts Handbook
Mystery Method produced a manual, released in October 2005. As a concise reference and learning tool for the student of the Venusian Arts. Venusian Arts is Mystery’s term: The Venusian Artist is the pickup artist, the master seducer, the student of seduction, the lover of women. Venusian Arts – the skillset. The term never really caught on.
At $68.00 it is the most expensive by a good way of the available written resources to the aspiring scholar of seduction. You can buy it from www.themysterymethod.com, note also that you can download Chapter 3 of the ‘Venusian Arts Handbook’ for free from themysterymethod.
This book is not entirely written by Mystery’s hand. And the contributing Venusian artists are some well known names: Lovedrop co-wrote (and edited), he is a Mystery Method instructor, a successful PUA in his own right, and has a great deal of experience of the material. Toecutter contributed on ‘winging’: for those who don’t know, Toecutter has been around in the seduction community for an age and has appeared at Cliff’s List Convention and with Pickup101 amongst others. With the (expected) contributed articles from Style, that infamous doyen of the seduction community and Mystery’s longtime wing, this product has strong credentials before you turn page 1.
Introducing Mystery Method. You are treated to a long introduction to the Venusian Arts in this book: forewords , quotes, about the author, dedications and contributions aside. All these things run into many pages, but it is the actual introductions to the ideas of Mystery Method that I’m referring to. Evolutionary theories, the context and role of the Venusian arts, this is explained early in the book. At its best it is useful re-framing info. from the perspective of seduction not often told, at its worst it is obvious pop-psychology.
The introductions to the concepts span many chapters in this book. Social status ideas are at the heart of Mystery Method and we are introduced to these early on. There is, not surprisingly, a good deal on this and of note is how the context is tightly bound to practical seduction. For instance, within context we are first told about peacocking.
The book at this point is covering it’s topic with sweeping broad strokes, but it is not without it’s advice. With a method like Gunwitch’s for instance you get real-world examples as to how things are. Mystery Method provide’s conceptual examples.
The broadest movement in seduction today follows an anthropological and evolutionary approach (drawing conclusions and basing behaviors on evolutionary theory). We know that the schools themselves are not mutually exclusive, but one of the main factors of this approach is the application of overall courtship structure that seduction will follow. Mystery IS the innovator of the structured approach, while other methodology recognises and utilises component structure, Mystery Method has set stages and rules and gambits for each.
The M3 model is Mystery Method’s structure, it’s concepts are again broadly introduced with the science behind the method. Mystery Method has a lot of depth, the discerning reader will not agree with everything that is in here, especially as much of the science surrounding our evolutionary past and present motivations forms a changing landscape (barely but still moving). But, it isn’t really essential to criticise the specifics – the practical applications themselves fit a dynamic model of evolution. In other words, the reasons behind the method may fluctuate, but the practice based on real-world application remains constant, effective and fits a variety of models to explain human mating.
Perhaps The Venusian Arts Handbook looks to explain the explanation too much. It is, of course, a book on seduction, we get about half way into the book before there is any real method to talk of.
The breakdown of the model. The M3 model is thoroughly explained (with all the background you’ve read up to this point on why it is the way it is, it makes good sense). The stages from approaching through comfort to seduction are all there and well illustrated. And standard Mystery concepts on social proof, the 3 second rule etc. are all there.
When we get to the techniques that fill out the model, we find them very well explained and always punctuated with a clear example. A word on the examples themselves: All are standard material by guys like Style and Maddash – all are still applicable, you wont find them going out of date any time soon, but unless this is your first foray into seduction technology material then you will probably have seen some before. The examples are there for the reason that they are amongst the best examples of the techniques explained, and you can use them but they mainly reveal the principles for the reader to re-create.
The book carries on in this vein, including articles and examples of gambits and illustrations to build a full picture of the Mystery Method system. Included: neg theory; IOIs; DHVs; group theory; multiple thread technique; and much more besides.
Summary: This is an introductory manual. It takes its reader through many of the theories behind pickup and seduction, through the M3 model and its various techniques. It makes the Venusian Arts a practical thing for its readers. Most importantly though it is an introductory manual to Mystery Method. There isn’t anyone (who is interested in learning the skills of seduction) who wouldn’t benefit from knowing the techniques of Mystery Method. And if you want to learn Mystery Method it is all in here.
Some things, like Style’s articles are repeats of examples that you most likely will have come across, but they remain solid examples. The real stuff doesn’t really kick off until you get to the second half of the book. For all the quality you find in this manual it is particularly drawn out, but again not much that isn’t relevant in one way or another.
A word on the price. It is expensive at $68.00, relative to the $40.00 of the majority of seduction texts. It is full of information and it is professionally laid out, is it worth it? The breadth of knowledge available in seduction books is about usefulness. In The Venusian Art’s 200 odd pages the system is useful and well laid out.
There are books that are poorly constructed, contain misplaced information, are full of filler material that overall don’t help. Those could be available for a piece of gum and cost too much. There are some long books that contain very little information, and there are some very short books that are full of useful knowledge. The Venusian Arts Handbook is very good, some parts of it are over long. Like all information (including seduction technology), it is worth what you are willing to pay. I’ve marked it down a bit on value because, relative to other good books reviewed here it costs much more, and relative to the best of those on quality – it is on a par for information and application merit. It is a strong candidate for being the best, complete system, at an extra cost.

Update: The ‘Venusian Arts Handbook’ was essentially repackaged as The Mystery Method: How To Get Beautiful Women Into Bed.
I have looked at the new book and can safely say that although some things have been re-written, the differences are small enough that the review above applies to everything in this book, all except for the price. The Mystery Method book is available in hardcover from Amazon at only $11.97. Or for readers in the UK – from Amazon.co.uk at £8.44, Bargain!
Dynamic Sex Life
I first got a look at ‘Dynamic Sex Life’ in late 2004, and this review originally dates from March 2005. The book is available from www.dynamicsexlife.com and it comes with 4 hours of audio mp3 of Gunwitch talking you through the main points. ‘Dymanic Sex Life’ retails at $39.95.
Gunwitch, author of the ‘Dynamic Sex Life’ eBook, is a popular figure in the seduction community. He has a blunt honesty and straight-talking style that most often cuts to the chase.
The Format. It is a book about getting the sex life you want i.e. it is a book of the methods to get the girls you want in the sack. I say this because it occurs to me that the title might be mistaken as a sexual techniques manual. Gun divides his book into three sections: The fairly straightforward ‘Foundations’ ‘Advanced’ and ‘Mastery’.
The Foundations. Gunwitch’s foundations are all about re-framing. Giving you a clear understanding of the reality of the male-female dynamic. How the dating game is often falsely perpetrated by the media, by well-meaning friends and family, by the dreadful bookstore dating self-help books. If you live in this world, Gunwitch helps pull you out. A lot of this stuff might seem basic, but it is not always obvious, and Gun’s take on social conditioning raises many good points.
A part of the foundation section is concerned with looks, fashion and style. Good point: As it comes under the auspices of re-framing, its premise is to answer the questions guys have (and are presented with daily – again media involvement) surrounding the importance of these things. Bad point: it evolves into basic fashion advice which feels misplaced.
At the tail end of the foundations comes some basic conversational techniques and ideas for actual in-field work.
The Advanced. The advanced section contains Gun’s ideas on masculinity to add to your frame. The RAP* system is introduced, a good model for seduction. Concepts involving things like rapport and sexual state are discussed, and all in all it starts to build a nice system of how to go out, meet and seduce the women of your choice.
*On RAP. This is one of the cornerstones of the Gunwitch method, it is a model of a belief set, a good one that can actually make a difference in real situations.
A quick critical aside: Maybe one of the symptoms of having read many books on seduction, is the dread with which I approach the early section often labelled ‘My Story’. Gun doesn’t label it, but it’s there – the story of the day I decided to get my shit together. There are compelling, inspirational stories out there, it is about time that seduction experts realized that “the day I said enough is enough” is not in that category. Perhaps this is being too critical, this is a pedantic point aimed at a number of pick-up experts and not specifically Gunwitch. If you think that a little background understanding is nice then so be it: Well, for me, my motivation – like so many – was heartbreak.
For me it began in the Fall of 2002…
Enough.
Mastery. Gunwitch introduces the mastery section stating that the techniques taught in it are the cherry on top and that it is not NEEDED to get the sex life that you want. I like this, it is true that much material of seduction is of an advanced psychological nature and can be thought of as advanced toys – this does not detract from the usefulness or benefit of them, but lest we get carried away that much of seduction is in the basics. So what toys does Gun have for us. Some conceptual ideas, some ways of doing things – The Star; The Unicorn; The Vibe; T.E.A.M.S strategy plus others. And expansion on the RAP ideas.
Summary. A book for the conditioned man, as a good introduction AND a system (although not quite systematic) to follow. Gunwitch’s book is recommended as a text that will make real difference if coming from a point of starting out or with intermediate success, it presents the ideas that exponentially increase a successfully applied seduction.

How To Be A Pickup Artist
To clarify right away, this is not a post on how to be a pickup artist. It is instead a review of Juggler’s (Wayne Elise) book titled ‘How To Be A Pickup Artist’.
Juggler is a veteran of the pickup scene. Long before the release of the above book, Juggler’s collected wisdom was available in a book called simply ‘The Juggler Method’ or ‘Conversational Jujitsu’. This was a good one-stop-shop for Juggler’s take on seduction practice. It was incidentally put together by a third party (a fan), if I ever knew who I have forgotten. Anyway I mention this because the original book is also for sale from www.charismaarts.com under the title ‘Juggler’s Compiled Archives’, to avoid any confusion, the book reviewed below is Juggler’s 2005 release ‘How To be A Pickup Artist’ – just like it says on the cover of the book.
‘How To Be A Pickup Artist’ costs $39.97 as a downloadable eBook as does the original book, or they can be purchased together with a discount. I haven’t reviewed ‘Juggler’s Archives’ on this site.
The style. Juggler is an affable and charming writer and his book is often entertaining. You may know that Juggler penned a chapter in the Neil Strauss book ‘The Game’ and received much praise for his literary efforts. This book is obviously a far different prospect but its style is still very conversational.
What it covers. This is a book on perspectives, in chapters on ‘Your Initial Vibe’; ‘Genuine Interest Versus Desperate Interest”; ‘Have A Strong Presence’; ‘Give Away Your Love’ and others of that same ilk, Juggler presents the perspectives that give him success with women. It is full of examples of his ideas in practice, but it is not a book of tactics or technique.
Juggler’s is the most conversational of the main pickup approaches. His style has a great deal to do with having fun. And this is, in a way, much of what you are learning from this book. That pickup is nothing to be scared of, despite the natural anxiety that accompanies actually doing it.
One of the book strengths is also one of its biggest flaws. The personal voice which permeates the structure of this book gives it an enjoyable feel . It is nice to read a book that demonstrates the fun of pickup. Most books are much drier in style, but this book’s conversational style (with the reader and in the examples) can’t help but presents itself that you should be like Juggler.
The book ends with extensive examples of the type of thing that Juggler has talked about throughout. You get a scripted dialogue of several pickups that show Juggler method in action. All in all good, and a decent learning tool.
For the most part there is something for everyone in any book, CD set or program out there. An appalling thing, maybe, for a critic of seduction method to say. But with the information that is available from the various schools, it is important for a balanced review. Questions all of us ask when we set out to learn seduction are “How true are the ideas?”; “How much do the methods reflect the ideas?”; “How practical and applicable are the methods?”; personally (and importantly) “How much did I learn?” and many more. Bluntly, no student of seduction goes through seduction manuals like we were trading baseball cards – “Got, got, got…” until we find a piece of game we can use or an angle not previously considered.
Summary. Some work on seduction is brand new and innovative, some work is a new perspective on a standard concept – we could continue to categorise like this for a while. However, one important category is the standard material on an everyday concept. The core, how to be a pickup artist stuff. This type of material is not unhelpful, it can illuminate the novice (and sometimes the experienced), it just isn’t very useful.
For the novice you might go through the ‘How To Be A Pickup Artist’ eBook needing every one of its baseball cards, and be enlightened. Overall, though, there’s not a lot here for the seduction student.

David Shade’s – Masterful Lover Manual
David Shade’s manual is another one of the products I bought early on in my seduction career. The book is touted as “top level field tested advanced sexual techniques to give women incredible pleasure”.
The Masterful Lover Manual (as it’s called now – I have an older version of the book called simply ‘David Shade’s Manual’) is 195 pages long (the current edition is 205 pages). You can get it from www.masterful-lover.com priced at $37.97 for a PDF eBook download or $49.97 + shipping for paperback copy.
Please bear in mind that the following review is from 2003. I do not know if there have been any changes made to the book reviewed here.
The first thing to say is what it is. It is a book of David Shade’s journey, learning’s and experience. His enthusiasm for his subject is compelling. If you’re in the market for a book on giving your girl “incredible pleasure”, I’d guess that, like me, your enthusiasm for sex is also pretty high.
The manual covers many, many techniques, under chapter titles such as: ‘The Deep Spot’; ‘Learning To Squirt’; ‘The Welcomed Method’ (a method of clitoral stimulation). These give practical techniques from David’s thoughts and experience of topics like Taoist Thrusting; the deep spot orgasm; using toys etc. Too many to name: You get the impression that David Shade is always pushing the boundaries to bring to his willing subject(s) the type of sexual fulfillment they desire. It must have been a hell of a few years over which David became a master of this.
If you know anything of David Shade, you’ll know that his journey is of the hypnosis and (some) NLP route. If the techniques of physical stimulation were not enough, then the real reason for the Masterful Lover Manual is the advanced hypnotic techniques taught within it’s pages.
Now would be the time to quickly clarify that these techniques work, for anyone doubting the authenticity of topics discussing ‘the one hour orgasm’ or ‘instant orgasm on command’ or the nature of fantasy and reality. For many of us who have delved into seduction skills, hypnosis is real. For those of you who are new to it, I can’t think of a more fun way to learn than through this book. Your own research is recommended though.
So, the majority of the manual covers techniques of hypnosis. Included also is a basic script, based on the famous (in hypnosis circles anyway) Ellman induction, for you to hypnotise your woman. It is a wonderful thing to learn this stuff, and a wonderful feeling to experiment with new ideas of your own. A couple of other brief points, David Shade is somewhat of an expert on threesomes and his perspectives on that are shared here, also he has a chapter on anal sex if that is an area you want to do.
A criticism so often levied at seduction products is the lack of examples given. Now, I know this book is about sexual techniques (of mind and body), and examples of sexual techniques are very different than in field pickup applications of the other products reviewed on this site. But, it has to be stated that David Shade’s manual is packed to the rafters of examples and technique. You can say that the biographic style of this manual means that it comes across as one long example of advanced sexual techniques in practice.
The academia and theory is there to back up the applications and understanding (but it is brief – of note for those of you who like more deep understanding). So often seduction products are presented the other way round, with academic understanding taking precedence over examples in practice (David deAngelo’s products, as good as they often are, is an example of this) – David Shade’s approach is refreshing. All this makes it pleasant reading, and easy to follow in David’s footsteps.
Reading around the subject is recommended, indeed difficult to resist once you get accustomed to the power this holistic approach to sexual enjoyment opens up. The Masterful Lover Manual has recommended reading and other products, so you are not lost for direction.
A brief note from my own experience: When I was learning from this book, I was simultaneously delving into hypnosis. And it took me a little time to master David Shade’s techniques with help from other sources. This manual is advanced stuff and for full understanding of the learning’s contained in it you may need other resources.
Summary: There are few books or products (or people working) in this same advanced area as David, there are a few though. I have limited experience of other products in this category (for the most part I stopped looking when I found David Shade’s Manual). I enjoy using again and again the techniques I learned from David Shade, his book comes highly recommended.
