Mystery Method Mainstream Manual
Mystery is to release a hardcover book to the buying public. The Mystery Method, written by Mystery with a foreword by Neil Strauss, is a little way off with a release date of February 2007.
We can speculate on the content. We can guess that it will be a more media friendly version of the Venusian arts. For us who have read good seduction texts and their self-help, bookstore pseudo-psychology equivalents, it is a positive move with applied seduction method finding its way onto bookstore shelves. Hopefully, it will remain true to its strengths. Quite obviously the method itself will share a template with The Venusian Arts Handbook, the material more suitable for the general public.
I know also that the release of this book will once again open the community discussion on the mainstream movement of seduction method. And I suppose the title of this post doesn’t help. But, for those concerned, please take note that there are many strong reasons why increased public exposure does NOT affect seduction practice.
what kind of review is that for RJ? You say its cheap yet only give it 3 stars for value for money.
And what does not releasing new material all the time have to do with anything?
Surely that means it is the best he can produce and his satisfied with it – i.e. it attests to its quality.
Your reviews are weird and dubious and seem biased towards the people more successful in the community and everything hovers around high numbers – there is no spread. nothing gets one or two stars overall.
And as for this weird statement ‘exposure doesn’t matter’. Of course it does. Why is Mystery periodically on MASF asking Formhandle to remove material?
Must be because exposure doesn’t matter, MM is immune to it.
Yeah right. Stop regurgitating a simplistic makerting line.
I want these reviews to include how you’ve implemented the advice in the feild – then you can assess its usefulness more fairly and USEFULLY.

After reading your comments above, I felt I should address them.
Q. What kind of review is that for RJ? You say its cheap yet only give it 3 stars for value for money.
A. I think the review makes clear that the reason it was given three on value for money is a reflection of its usefulness for $50. Had I rated it just on cost, then you would have a point, however the value reflects its usefulness. Note that the value for money rating IS the value of the product ALLIED to its cost and three out of five is this reviewer’s rating and a fair one.
Q. And what does not releasing new material all the time have to do with anything?
Surely that means it is the best he can produce and his satisfied with it – i.e. it attests to its quality.
A. Here, I agree with you. The point here is the change of direction in Ross Jeffries’ work, not to suggest inferior work. To attest to the fact that the methods presented in this DVD covers one area of Speed Seduction. Most of the reviews begin with the release date of the product, and in this case I just put it in perspective. A neutral detail that you seem, somehow, to have misunderstood as criticism.
Q. Your reviews are weird and dubious and seem biased towards the people more successful in the community and everything hovers around high numbers – there is no spread. nothing gets one or two stars overall.
A. This is a difficult question to answer, I am aware of the subjective nature of the rating system. This is no different a problem than is faced by any review for any product. I happen to think that our full reviews reflect a true spectrum of a seduction product’s strengths and weaknesses. We are just shy of a dozen product reviews on here, and I expect we should be cut a bit of slack for posting a majority of popular or new products, or for not yet showing the full range.
God knows there is some substandard seduction products, and you are right that at worst a review so far has been given a mediocre score of 2 1/2. We do express a bias, the bias is towards writing reviews for products that we liked (or at least didn’t hate). This is because to review a product like this requires you to take on board ideas and test its practical application (you make this point later yourself). Doing this for a piece you don’t believe in is an excruciating task. Critically reviewing a poor product (without simply tearing it apart for being rubbish) is a difficult thing to do. But, yes we shall attempt to offer the balance you crave (at least our opinion), but for the moment this is what we got. Tough!
Q. And as for this weird statement ‘exposure doesn’t matter’. Of course it does. Why is Mystery periodically on MASF asking Formhandle to remove material?
A. I’ll address the second point first. Mystery requests the removal of material because it infringes on his copyright. Or, if you are referring to the removal of his own earlier posts, then he is protecting his business interests, by removing material that is otherwise available from his company in some form. I don’t like to see anything removed but MASF protects the poster in this way, he has that right.
The question of exposure is different. There is a brash commercial element that in many ways changes the community by seeking mainstream exposure. But does it change the practice of seduction.
Regardless of how you feel about those that benefit from (and perpetrate) the growth of seduction, are we practitioners of seduction affected by it? In terms of the community itself, its members, and the direction it takes, undoubtedly we are affected. But my point in the post was about the practice of seduction. And with my continued experience, learning and application of seduction – I know that, when principles are applied to individual game, sarges are NOT affected.
Q? Must be because exposure doesn’t matter, MM is immune to it.
Yeah right. Stop regurgitating a simplistic makerting line.
A. Are you saying the pro-exposure camp has marketing interests at the heart of their beliefs. Well you may be right, but not for all. If you are accusing me of holding this notion for that reason then you are entirely wrong.
It has always been a facet of the modern community to address the issue of “will I get caught/what if everybody is doing it”. These are questions of the neophyte and novice, experience (in-field and in understanding) teaches us that this is entirely unfounded and irrelevant.
Q. I want these reviews to include how you’ve implemented the advice in the feild – then you can assess its usefulness more fairly and USEFULLY.
A. You can’t attest to a techniques effectiveness UNLESS you use it. The practical uses ARE at the core of EVERY review posted. The seduction product is also about much more than techniques. They all have their varying perspectives, but really pay attention to the content and you’ll find that it comes down to much more than just learning ‘things to do’. The ideas and methods in every book, CD or DVD have been implemented in-field as required, and the review is a balanced reflection of this. And I hope, useful for some.

After the comments on this thread I just wanted to say that I am a fan of the reviews posted here.
Well reasoned arguments, that I find useful.
The seduction community has many self-serving biases for good and bad, this is IMO a neutral site with good insight.
Keep up the good work

No one is going to agree with every review. Anyone offering their genuine, honest, perspective on the community is performing a service.
