Badboy is back
I rarely post here anymore, only when something that I think is big and worth sharing comes along.
This fits that category. Badboy is back… but for how long?
I’ve never actually reviewed a Badboy product on this blog, the reason is I came to Badboy’s teachings late. I was, for a while, quite staunchly protective of the indirect style, and saw direct methods as missing something and not as refined or as – frankly – psychological as indirect.
I was wrong then, direct methods have structure and are intelligent, what’s more they come from a position of enhanced masculine identity. Indirect has its place, but as a convert to direct (slowly over the years), I found it more satisfying.
Badboy is the main protagonist of direct method, he’s been in the game as long as anyone and played a role in the Game. The funny thing that I found with Badboy’s teaching is that it shattered my beliefs on direct being an unintelligent and unstructured simple caveman style.
OK, I’ve built it up enough – but if you haven’t tried direct game before, then do what I suggest now and head over to Badboy’s blog to ask him a question.
I heard today that, for a limited time, Badboy is opening up the floor to questions ahead of a big announcement, you can find the questions page here: http://badboylifestyle.com/blog/heres-my-question-badboy/
The success I got with indirect has been overshadowed by direct style – instant attraction anyone! Hope this message reaches you well.
News – New Seduction Review
We finally did it!
After much consideration and cajoling we have launched The Seduction Review Proper.
Over at theseductionreview.com is our New Improved Seduction Review.
Thanks to all the designers and my marketing friends and the input from various members of the community.
Lots of new reviews to go up, lots of news to report, lots of sarging to do.
All the best,
Gordon
Editor, The Seduction Review
PS This site will stick around, it’s a good archive. But we’ve moved home now and I don’t think we’ll be back to the old place. So long seductionreview, Hello The Seduction Review
Seduction Chronicles Community Forum
I thought I’d take a moment to mention the launch of the Seduction Chronicles Forum.
http://www.seduction-chronicles.net/community/index.php
There are a number of seduction and pickup forums on the web, some better than others. And every so often there is a new one. These days the new forums are most often sponsored by a Dating Guru. Nothing wrong with that, there are a few dating gurus who’s forums I could hang out in and learn a lot.
But why take the time now to mention this particular community launch? Well it’s because I think this could be the most current, ‘big picture’ perspective type forum, if you know what I mean. Why do I think this, because that is what Donovan’s site Seduction-Chronicles is. It has its finger on the pulse of the happenings in the seduction community and the writing is of a consistently high quality. If that overview is brought to the community forum by Donovan and the other contributers then it will be another excellent resource.
Of course, as a forum, it is only as good as its members. So go join and make it a great place to be.
TUNG
TUNG – The Ultimate Nut Guarantee is a book that is difficult to define. Maybe define is not the right word, but tie down certainly. At once an account of sexual exploits, a philosophical treatise on the nature of men and women and a training program for the (male) sexual athlete. It is the last of these things that TUNG is billed as – a book that teaches how to reach our sexual peak pleasure. You can get it here: http://stores.lulu.com/tung
The material in TUNG presents the advice and story of a man who can be described as both a ’self trained’ sexual athlete and a ’school of life’ philosopher. TUNG is not particularly a book for the seduction community alumni, some of the writing goes against the grain of the seduction student. It is a book on sexual practices, and on the sexual dynamics we engage in and there are rewards for its readers.
The author, who remains unidentified under the name Anonymous X, begins with a brief preface on how TUNG came to be and a disclaimer regarding its practice, for this is a physically demanding program. Getting into the main content of the book I was impressed by the writing. The interludes of true accounts alongside the author’s philosophy and technique works well. The book builds nicely. Beginning with exercise, the book sets out its stall – After the introduction to the TUNG philosophy, there is a short but crucial chapter on ‘Getting in TUNG shape’. It wouldn’t be much of a review if I hadn’t done the exercise, which is an intense but not gruelling routine and when you apply the newly toned and trained physique to the techniques that come later, you’ll be glad of the training and most certainly will benefit the sex you are having.
The book continues with a chapter called ‘Creating tension’. This is the story of why to do TUNG, why sex applied the TUNG way is so paramount. The message is raw here, but welcome – it is a whole body process, it is pleasure driven and as a warrior you should strive for ultimate satisfaction. This means working for it, as Anonymous point out “you must endure this strenuous physical regimen because there are a core group of muscles that must be developed to produce the high octane nuts you are seeking.” Moving onto the chapter on ‘Staying Safe’, there is some very sensible advice in this chapter, we’d do well to heed. STDs; paternity; her friends; boyfriends/husbands and other issues are covered, and we are given much advice on what to do to ’stay safe’.
The later chapters of the book cover sexual positions. The standard ‘lover’s guide’ positions are covered: missionary; doggy; cowgirl; standing; but with the TUNG take on getting ultimate satisfaction from the ’standard moves’. Then moving onto a chapter on the bizarre. Opening with the qualifier that in today’s wonderful world of sexual excess, “what is kinky or bizarre?”. It is true that you don’t need the 150th Kama sutra position to get you and your partner off. And I salute the TUNG method for bringing us back to earth by upping the ante in sexual satisfaction from good fucking sex. And you are left in no doubt, if there was any up to this point, that the TUNG system is athletically challenging.
Now, returning to the start of the book to cover some ground. The book opens, even before we begin our training regime, with Mr Anonymous X’s perspectives on sex and dating in the modern world. He berates the standard misogyny out there and yet still conforms to broad stereotypes. In a single paragraph the author can hit the nail on the head and appeal to the sense of missing masculinity in sex and sexual dynamics between men and women. He can explain the demeanor of the “pussy whipped boyfriend” and and the ‘he’s so nice’ guy. And call it an affront, an abomination! And, by and large, he’s right. Yet in the very same discussion the stereotypes he mentions are too black and white to be entirely true, the pop psychology of the analysis too blunt to be accurate. But primarily TUNG is a book for men on sex that unashamedly brandishes the message “We are not lovers. WE FUCK!” and in this regard is a breath of fresh air. “Sex is to TUNG as a AAA battery is to a Tesla coil. We strive for intensity and duration. We take pride in our work and we fuck for the sheer pleasure of it” Anonymous X
Remembering, now, that this is a review for guys who are learning and practicing seduction. I can level with an audience that has altogether more understanding in areas of social dynamics, sex and seduction. So, for us only… In the seduction community we will often critique the insights of the uninitiated – those poor guys who approach the dating game with nothing other than the tools of reciprocity (“what do you mean you won’t sleep with me, I bought dinner”). While this book is only about what to do when you get a woman into bed, not how to get her there, the social philosophy surrounding it is grounded in an awareness of the real world that us who study seduction are only too aware of. But it is not the world that we inhabit, it is the world that everyone else does. If you have been through education in seduction then you’ll have the flexibility to come and go with the philosophy of this book, while strongly adding to your sexual self (and technique to your repertoire).
As I said in the opening paragraph, TUNG is about us men achieving our sexual gratification. Her pleasure is of less concern, and in this regard it is a tonic to every other piece of literature on the subject that teaches ‘please her’ = better sex. But, not too far into TUNG we converge with the classic approach – Practicing TUNG = giving yourself pleasure = giving her pleasure. So we are not at odds with the classic teachings of social dynamics and seduction. Reminds me of the underlying interpretations of the ‘nice guy’ and how they are essentially selfish behaviors. By freeing ourselves to demand sexual satisfaction both men and women benefit. If you have ever had a lover take wonderful pleasure in your own satisfaction and sexual climax, just as you do in hers, and you encourage her to explore her own, then the TUNG method is your personal training guide, only reversed (it’s far more about you).
In Practice
Well, I used all the techniques when working on TUNG. I struggled with some, I really enjoyed some. I varied yet others and have brought some into a repertoire that is wholly enhanced by the practices of this book. For example the doggy/massage hybrid is a funky style much loved by me and my girlfriend. There is an honest and raw sexual urgency to the teachings in this book, and that is what will remain with me. It is lacking in many of the books you can buy on sex, a book like this could create some pretty dirty bastards though, no bad thing. Reading it, I was intrigued, appalled, stimulated, incited to action, and certainly entertained.
The athletic aspect of the TUNG method is paramount, it is a whole body sexual experience that is described in the book. It should not be underestimated. It is almost a holistic approach to sex, and being in good shape is necessary. I tried and trained for the benefit of the method, and I had better sex. Simple as that… my girl had better sex too! Straight up testimony to its efficacy.
Summary
It is intended that the reader of this book not only develop the sexual skills, but captures the masculinity that corresponds with a fucking hot sex life. The TUNG philosophy is one thing, the author’s perspective is another. And I think you can quite easily separate the two*. Anonymous X either gets it in a way I have yet to experience, or sees it in a way I can’t (or wont). Or, modesty aside, it could be that I see things clearer than the author’s philosophy and I am beyond some perspectives expressed in these pages. Either way, I liked TUNG – even though there is an obvious veering off in mine and the author’s stance. I learned from TUNG and ultimately it is a good developmental tool. I think that comes across despite some reservations.
Something I haven’t mentioned up until now is the perspectives of misogyny discussed in the book. The author categorizes modern misogyny in the opening paragraph. Some critics might say that this book itself is a misogynistic text resorting to simple archetypes. I wouldn’t agree with that, but the reason I mention this theme here, is I did debate for a while which category Anonymous X (the author) is in. I am sure now that he is in his own category, he has experience, knowledge and insight and it is obvious he loves women.
TUNG can be purchased at http://stores.lulu.com/tung
*To the lay reader it may seem that the strong masculine identity described in the author’s philosophy are fused with the practices of the book. Not true, in my experience this philosophy is only one way, and is easily flexible.
The Rules of Seduction
I had intended never to begin any writing on seduction, pickup or dating with the hackneyed phrase ‘The Rules of Seduction’. I apologize truly. The cliche’d title comes from the UK channel 4 show of the same name. It broadcast on Friday the 7th of December.
As the channel 4 description puts it: “A journey into the hidden world of the pick-up artist, men who’ve developed tricks and routines that they claim any man can use to seduce any woman.”
Have a look at some clips here
Some might remember Channel 4 in the UK was also responsible for the program Seduction School that featured Juggler, which overall I liked. So is The Rules of Seduction compelling TV, Is it a good insight into the reality of seduction practice? It tries hard at one, it is certainly not the other. Some interesting things, amongst them the reappearance of Darren (I Am The Future), I had wondered on occasion what had happened to that fellow. It was he, who (along with Hoobie) gave the community its first real infield footage about three years ago… Goodness, that long!
More from the CH4 brief:
“Darren AKA ‘I am the Future’ is one of the UK’s leading pick-up artists: a growing group of young men who claim to excel in the art of seduction. This film explores their often murky world from its London underbelly to the ‘glamour’ of the annual L.A. seduction summit”
Murky World… Tricks… Sleaze… Lies… SuperPowers – Well, its on TV it must be true?? Have I been doing it wrong…
Inside The Mind of Mystery
The big seduction product event of the year is imminent. It is, of course, The Mind of Mystery Home Study Course from Venusian Arts. It is a substantial 21 DVDs, 13 CDs plus workbook course with high expectation and a high price-tag.

Demand will be high… higher still due to the scarcity of the product. 10o0 copies on its release. It comes hot on the tail of VH1s ‘The Pickup Artist’, and due to the extra publicity of seduction, pickup and dating material there has been a slew of products coming out for the student (or potential student) of seduction. The Mind of Mystery, being the peak in terms of having The Pickup Artist’s bonafide TV celebrity guru coach, that Mystery has become, at its helm. It costs $2397, you can get it from mindofmystery.com
…Are we going to secure a copy for review? I can only say… Possibly (a strong possibly). But, there is the reservaton that a review might be redundant by the time its written – Mind of Mystery may be sold out. The price too, which is thought to be in the ballpark of a few thousand may make a review relevant only to a more exclusive audience. But, if there is interest, then a review will be forthcoming.
The Hype and its Bearing on the Learning and Practice of Seduction. What we’re talking about here is the development of seduction training and methods. A point to reiterate here is something that comes up a lot in seduction training: Beware of falling into the trap of stockpiling knowledge, of seeing the development of seduction training as essential to your own learning. It isn’t. There is good knowledge and good coaching from good teachers in the seduction sphere. The next big thing may be good, may even be great but the last big thing may have more answers.
Anyway, that said. Seduction skills, methods, knowledge and teaching method all continue to improve. We shall soon see how Mind of Mystery fills out in these developments.
A quick word on the other recently released and imminent future releases from the pickup and seduction world. There are some that are very good and we will have reviews of them all. A couple of picks: Brad P’s Fashion Bible – Brad takes a social study of fashion for attraction and purpose. What could otherwise be a cheap book of fashion tips is an almost anthroplogy of attraction through fashion methods. Also from Brad P, I have a review planned for the Club Game program – this is the future, it is how all club game should be run. Mehow’s Infield Exposed is a cornerstone of the new direction of pickup and seduction teaching. Infield events captured on film, with full detailed explanation and insight.
Full reviews coming soon.
Update
Many posts on this site have now been updated to reflect current information on the seduction community and its learning (links and sources which had changed now properly reflect relevant seduction sites).
The community is abuzz at this time, and I wish all new visitors the best of success. I hope you find some answers and direction here. We continue to enjoy receiving email and thank you for your interest. In answer to the subject that the majority of enquiries were about – Yes, ‘The Seduction Review’ will begin to post again… and soon!
Top Pickup Artists? / Review Of The Year
This time of year sees Thundercat (Joseph Matthews) release his annual list of the top 10 pickup artists. With a nod in that direction, this is a very short review of the year with Seduction Review’s take on the best of the last twelve months. 2006 saw the release some interesting products, some quality footage and the developments of and from some familiar PUAs.
Magnus and Tribal formed project Ibiza for the summer months, together with a European summit held there. The only official seduction summit this year as far as I know. Magnus also branched out into the self-development seduction field with the creation of the inner-game tapping technique. Mystery too got back into seduction project sphere with the residential seduction mansion at Project Miami (just learned this from TCs post).
As far as saleable production from seduction is concerned. Well, products don’t always follow innovation, and yet getting a particular perspective on seduction method or a take on the universal principles, or expertise in an area of seduction is the foundation of furthering learning with seduction. Along these lines we saw most releases this year. And in this regard, Style courted controversy with the $3000+ pricetag of his teaching videos The Annihilation Method. On further commercial fronts RSD released The Foundation Series and Zan brought out his Enlightened Seduction DVD set. Pickup 101 had new products, and followed with some footage. And also, Cliff held the 2nd annual Cliff’s List Convention in Montreal this past summer, introducing new and reaffirming established guests.
Charisma Arts with Juggler and Johnny Saviour had a success with the one-off television show Seduction School.
The men of the year: This regards contribution to seduction over the year, and is not about rating pickup artistry in terms of skill or individual seduction achievement. Brad P. is a stand out success of the year. Virtually unknown in 2005; 2006 saw him become one of the well known names within the seduction community. His seduction style contributed both innovation and furthered established learning to the community. Mehow continues to develop and have success in seduction application. These are candidates for innovation that have an impact on the way we learn and practice seduction. Mehow has provided the benchmark for footage to learn by, with seduction method that furthers Mystery Method and seduction closely related to that school. Brad P’s sexual seduction style has successfuly imported many aspects from areas of practical and psychological game and is credited for his application and growing teaching success.
These, of course are just a few of the stories of the year for the seduction community. Anything else?
Happy Hogmany Everybody!
Best of success for 2007
PUA Media And Seduction Video
Video footage of teaching, of sarging, of anything related to the perspective of seduction is around for the seduction student’s education and enjoyment. And, back in 2004 the appearance of seduction related video led directly to the Hoobie and Loverboy project PUAMedia.com which (unfortunately) eventually caved under the weight of the lack of regular quality recordings and efforts required to condense them in one place. However it returned a few days ago in a redesigned blog format.
The return of PUAMedia provides a single reference point for most of the video available on and related to seduction in one place. I say most, so we don’t forget the media hosted in other places, not for the likes of youtube consumption.
The announcement above leads to seduction video in general. The main categories of seduction video are the clips of teaching at seminars; the infield pickup; and the entertainment show that features seduction. While being produced for enjoyment, the last category of TV features often have some re-framing merit to them.
One such video was the UK Channel 4 special Seduction School that saw Wayne Elise and Johnny Saviour from Charisma Arts take three self-proclaimed misfits to Seduction School.
I was going to post video for the Seduction School Channel 4 special. But… Attraction-Chronicles went to the effort of putting it on youtube, credit to them
http://attraction-chronicles.blogspot.com/2006/08/watch-seduction-school-episode-video.html
Regarding footage of live seduction technique. The practitioner really embracing the use of in-field video is Mehow. The videos address the challenges of covert recording and come up trumps for real world footage. Mehow’s latest video, on the redesigned mehow.tv website, Bachelorette Set Part 3 continues the series with comfort, attraction and group management, and further demos. Check it out here www.mehow.tv/video/indexFull.php
The Best Advice
On Tadpoled.com recently they ran a post called the Best Advice On Attraction.
The balance of personal enhancement versus change is a challenge faced by the seduction student. The advice from tadpoled http://tadpoled.com/blog/the-best-advice-on-attraction/
Thinking about my best advice in the seduction arena is a task that at once is easy and difficult. We’re full of advice in seduction. Distilling personal insight deliberately tagged with the burden of guidance has proven a more dogged task. Eventually, here is some advice offered, given as it is pertinent to Seduction Review.
The best way to learn seduction is by the teachings of those that have mastered (and understand) it. That is a given, and one of the main tenets of this blog. The advice offered here is a simple premise inherent in learning seduction. Beware the trap of the seduction academic. Simple principles are enough for seduction success, true that seduction has depth and continued development is commended. But, learning is not the mainstay of seduction success.
Seduction education is enticing, education without application is tragic. A personal reminder, why we are learning is often enough to nullify the effects of “the part that I need to know” or “the piece of game that I feel is missing”.
OK, by contrast, building skills and deepening understanding (and ongoing development) is a cornerstone of success with women. Yet, seduction mastery is wasted if not applied. Don’t fall into the trap of needing one more thing to know, one more technique to understand. There are not many gaps in game that need filled by further instruction. Simple seduction works and complex seduction is no better, just broader.
